Singapore Fireworks Celebration 2008

Fri, Aug 22nd - We attended a dinner at the Swissotel. It was an event organised by the Prime Minister Office to welcome foreigners working in Singapore. The highlight of the night was the fireworks show. We were taken to the Marina Bay Floating Platform. The 30mins fireworks display was spectacular! It was our first time at the Marina Bay Platform and certainly Joshua's first time watching the fireworks. It was an unforgettable night of colourful fireworks set against the stunning Singapore Skyline. Thank you PMO!

Up and Down - Ipoh 26.07.08

First Few Steps

Mon Aug 11th, Joshua took his first few steps last night when he was accompanied by his uncle and cousins from ShenZhen.

Singapore Science Centre

Sat Aug 9th, It's Singapore 43th Birthday. We took our cousin and kids from Shenzhen to the Science Centre. Little Joshua joined in the excitement of exploring the wonder of science.

Fri Aug 8th, Here's Joshua! All dressed up for the Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony. We went to Uncle Gerard's (mummy's boss) place for dinner and watched the Olympic Opening Ceremony together with mummy's few other colleagues.

Tue Aug 5th, Joshua found a new way of having fun while he poo....pushing with his potty ...all the way under the table.

Picnic at the Singapore Botanical Garden

Sat Aug 2nd, It was our first visit to the Singapore Botanical Garden. We joined the firm's family day for a picnic at the garden. Joshua had fun chasing the birds and watching the ducks at the lake.

1 week in Ipoh

Sun Jul 27th, We were back in Ipoh for a week. Here are the highlights of the week.

1st flight

Sun Jul 20th, Joshua went on his first flight together with grandma and mummy. We flew from JB to KL.

After swim

Sat July 5th, Joshua went for his weekly swimming lesson. He was exhausted after his swim :)

How to brush your teeth?

Joshua has been watching me brushing my teeth. Just few days ago, i gave him his own baby toothbrush. Naturally, he started brushing his teeth just like mummy. He now brushes his teeth every morning and night.

Sunday Afternoon, 22 June

It was raining most of the day. We stayed home. Joshua was very cranky and moody the whole day. He's either teething, didn't get to go out or he knew i'll be away next Sunday. We took out another present to cheer him up. It was an Aqua Doodle drawing mat from Jane, Edwin and Nicole. It was a no mess but fun drawing session for the whole family!

Joshua and His 1st Engineering Set

Joshua received an engineering toy set (1st birthday present) from Uncle Basil, Teck Leong and Charles. He was "all over" his toy and was busy emptying the box. He still can't build anything out of it but was figuring out how to use the tools.

1st Sleepover at Aunty Jenny's Place

Aunty Jenny brought Joshua out and Joshua was found playing with his own reflection. He was talking to the reflection....interesting huh...? Joshua later got home and slept from 10pm-7pm.

Joshua's 1st Ferris Wheel Ride

Wed June 18, Joshua went on his 1st ferris wheel ride at the E!HUB Downtown East, together with aunty Jenny, Edmund and me! We sat in cabin no. 6. Joshua was excited and enjoyed his ride!

Dinner with Terri

Sunday 15 June, We had dinner with Terri at Jumbo, East Coast Park. Terri had a stopover in Singapore on her way to Mumbai for a business trip. It was a great night cathing up with Terri since her move to Germany last March. Guten Abend (Good night in German)!

Sun June 15, Joshua had a big big splash at the Wild Wild Wet today. He was so cool!

Wed June 4, Jenny and family celebrated Joshua's birthday at Joshua's 2nd home.

My First Taste of KFC

Wed June 4, Joshua had his 1st taste of KFC on his birthday. It was spicy! He was sucking the drumstick and refused to let go. It was finger lickin' good!

My First Trip to the Bird Park

Tue June 3, Joshua went to the Jurong Bird Park with Grandma and Grandpa. He was so excited to see his favourite animal, the birds. He was pointing and shouting at the bird show.

Joshua's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Joshua's 1st birthday on 1st June 2008. It was a Winnie the Pooh party at the Swensen's United Square, Singapore. Thanks to our families and friends who have joined us in celebrating Joshua's big day.
